You may run your applications in our Tech Center on our AS400 (iSeries i5) hardware, often utilizing LPAR technologies and pay only for what you utilize. This leverage afford a substantial hardware savings to many of our clients. Instead of buying a new system every 3 years, Tier 2 provides for incremental and scalable growth and consistent and predictable IT costs. You may leave costly, cumbersome and time-consuming hardware upgrades behind.
The day to day hardware, software, and application operations are managed by Synergistic from our Data Center. The hardware and staffing is effectively outsourced to us, your extended IT department, but you retain total control. You achieve leverage from our existing staff, dedicated servers, and further discounting is achieved utilizing IBM's LPAR technologies to create partitions, thus reducing the necessity of a dedicated system in some cases. Customized services include same as Tier 1 plus other services as required.
Hosting Types
A Managed Dedicated Hosting Solution may provide advantages over shared hosting in certain cases, so it's important that each case be reviewed thoroughly with your Synergistic consultant. Dedicated servers are provided for clients with high bandwidth or disk space requirements and/or specific needs that cannot be met in a traditional Managed Hosting environment. Whether you have specific scripts, libraries, or security needs that cannot be met in a shared hosting environment, with a dedicatead hosting solution you are given your own private server and have complete control over its use and may direct the Synergistic Technical Engineers accordingly. Fuctionally, you probably will not see any difference between running your applications in an LPAR on our AS/400 or if we dedicated your own AS400 (iSeries i5). Managed Hosting provides the opportunity for clients to lease just as much processing power as they need and pay for it as they go. Traditionally, firms buy a much larger CPU to grow into that system over time.
