System i5 Hot Site disaster recovery solutions provide hardware and is made available on a first come, first served basis along with technical facilities including terminals, personal workstations, printers, communication lines, meeting rooms, etc in a recovery scenario. All Synergistic hot site solutions may be stand alone or AS/400 LPAR and come standard with a free annual tape test with remote testing capability. No longer do you have to travel to far away hot site. Simply send your tapes to Synergistic Engineers and they'll load the data and connect you on a private VPN, saving you travel costs and time expenditure. This AS/400 disaster recovery solution may even be customized by dedicating a router and dedicating communication lines specifically for your solution.

Synergistic's AS/400 Rapid Recovery consists of a server, group of servers, or partitioned hardware that will give you a dedicated AS/400 disaster recovery solution. Included in this solution group are variations which may include having your i5 preloaded with operating and application software. A communication backbone may be established by creating a secure VPN between your backup and production systems. This may include upgrading bandwidth from commercial DSL to T1 or fractional T and and may accommodate ANX or other industry-specific communication connections. In today's AS/400 world, uptime is essential and more and more clients are upgrading from traditional shared or hot site plans to Synergistic dedicated Rapid Recovery solutions. The recovery window is about 8-36 hours, reducing the window more than 50% relatively. The SOS Flexi-Site clause which enables clients to choose the type of disaster they wish to declare may be built into each SOS Rapid Recovery solution so your very own dedicated server may be able to be quick shipped to your data center if you declare a "server only" disaster.
